Fort Lauderdale Not Affected by Ernesto

GREATER FT. LAUDERDALE, FL, August 30, 2006. Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida and its tourism infrastructure had no damage due to Tropical Storm Ernesto, leaving the destination ready for a terrific Labor Day weekend.

All hotels, attractions and restaurants in Broward County are 100% open for business and looking forward to hosting visitors. The Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International Airport is fully operational and normal operations have resumed as of this morning. Port Everglades is expected to resume normal operations by noon today. The Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center experienced no disruptions and the facility is hosting AAU Taekwondo Team Trials from September 9-10, 2006.
