Planet Fitness Opens flagship Joberg Spa
SEPTEMBER 22, 2008. Planet Fitness are opening a flagship store in Sandton Johannesburg estimated at R100m (lb6.6m).
The 53,820sq ft (5,000sq m) Health and Wellness centre will include an indoor virtual reality golf driving range and a techno gym wellness centre equipped by techno gym.
Features of the large luxury day spa include luxury changing rooms, saunas, roman baths, 25 degree heated pool with light therapy and underwater music, Bikram yoga studio heated to 40 degrees with imported bamboo floors, an all-weather running track and a kenesis studio offering 250 sport specific exercises.
There will be a maximum of 5,000 members who will be privilege to champagne evenings in the Radisson serviced executive lounge.
Platinum members are permitted to use all Planet Fitness Gyms in the group.
