The Providence Group LLC Introduces Revolutionary Management Concept

. October 14, 2008

DUXBURY, MA, October 14, 2005. Jed C. Heller has formed The Providence Group LLC to offer specialized consulting services to the hospitality industry. Heller, with three decades of hospitality-management experience, will serve as CEO of the Duxbury, Mass.-based firm.

According to Heller, The Providence Group offers a unique service to hotels, timeshare resorts and other hospitality firms. For clients without a general manager, the company provides an interim general manager, while simultaneously working to find a permanent employee for the role. "The client benefits both short-term and long-term," Heller says. "The Providence Group fills their immediate need, then develops and implements a strategic plan for the property, eventually transitioning that strategy to the permanent general manager. Plus, I'm personally involved in every project to ensure satisfaction, guarantee results and build relationships."

Heller began his hospitality management career with Winegardner and Hammons in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has successfully managed all phases of three start-up business ventures. He was the executive vice-president of The March Co. Inc., a Boston, Mass.-based real estate investment firm, and was president of Premier Hotel Corp., also of Boston, where he acquired and operated hotels on behalf of his partners. Most recently, he was president of Newport News, Va.-based Goodmanagement, where he worked with Mountainside Villas Owners Association, a timeshare property in Massanutten, Va., to fill a management vacancy.

"It was a personal pleasure for me to work with Jed Heller," says Henry Lohmann president of the resort's owners association. "Jed recruited, interviewed and recommended the hiring of a new general manager. He was directly involved with her training and development as an efficient manager through on-site visits, phone and e-mail. This greatly reduced the learning curve and made the manager more effective in a shorter period of time."

In addition to the unique interim services, The Providence Group provides specialized consulting and analytical services, covering human resources, food and beverage, yield management, guest service relations and more. The company has extensive experience overseeing all phases of hospitality development as well as managing and operating hotels, timeshare resorts and senior assisted-living facilities.
