Embassy Suites Fills Two GM Posts

Curtis G. Reitz in Tulsa and Weylan Rhame at Hilton Houston Southwest

ATLANTA, GA, December 4, 2008. Hospitality Ventures, LLC, a privately owned hotel ownership and management firm headquartered in Atlanta, today announced that it has named new general managers at two of the upscale properties it owns and manages.

Curtis G. Reitz is the new General Manager of the Embassy Suites Tulsa-I-44, a 244-suite hotel located at 3332 South 79th East Ave. in Tulsa, OK. Reitz was most recently General Manager of the Hilton Houston Southwest in Houston, TX, which received Hilton's "Best Continuous Improvement" and "Greatest Increase in Rev Par" awards from Hilton when Reitz was General Manager of the property that also is owned by Hospitality Ventures. A hotel general manager since 1982, Reitz has managed Holiday Inn, Sheraton and Hilton properties in the south and west. Growing up in the hospitality industry as the grandson of innkeepers in Georgia, Reitz attended Brunswick Junior College and Utah State University.

Weylan Rhame is the new General Manager of the 288-room Hilton Houston Southwest, located at 6780 Southwest Freeway in Houston. A Texas native, Rhame most recently was General Manager of the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel in New Orleans, LA. Rhame brings 25 years of hospitality industry experience to his new position including serving as a Regional Operations Manager for Lodgian, Inc. and a General Manager of Crowne Plaza and Wyndham hotel properties in Houston and Dallas. He studied accounting and business administration at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Also, Andrew Bou, MBA, CMA, CHAE, CHE, has been appointed Vice President-Accounting & Finance. Bou brings 15 years of finance, accounting and operational management experience in the hospitality industry to his new position. Most recently, Bou served as Director of Finance, Franchise and Owner Relations, for Starwood Hotels and Resorts. From 2001-06, he served as Finance Manager, Parks and Resorts Segment Consolidation, for the Walt Disney Company. He holds an MBA in Accounting from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Florida International University.

In his new position at Hospitality Ventures, Bou will oversee all finance, accounting, financial reporting and treasury-related functions.
