DECEMBER 11, 2008. CSM Lodging, a leader in hotel development and operations, announces today that Joel Carver has joined the company as vice president of sales and marketing. Carver's strong background in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry will strengthen CSM Lodging's sales and marketing departments and help the company continue to grow and solidify its presence in the national hotel market.
Carver has extensive experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry and his powerful thinking is nationally recognized. Prior to joining CSM, Carver was the senior vice president of sales and marketing for Vizergy, a hospitality focused internet-marketing company based in Jacksonville, Florida. Before Vizergy, Carver served as assistant vice president of sales and marketing for B.F. Saul Company, a hotel development and management firm based in Bethesda, Maryland. HSMAI recently recognized Carver as one of the "25 Most Extraordinary Minds in Sales in Marketing," and he has won several Adrian Awards for Excellence in Internet Marketing.

Carver adds fire power to CSM's already strong sales and marketing departments that will help the company combat the economic downturn.
