Hartford Marriott Appoints Director of Restaurants
HARTFORD, CT, December 15, 2008. The Marriott Hartford Downtown, located at 200 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford, has appointed Salem resident James Rybak as director of restaurants.
In his new role at The Marriott Hartford Downtown, Rybak will manage the hotel's food and beverage outlets, including in-room dining, Crush Lounge, and the hotel's signature Zagat rated restaurant, Vivo Seasonal Trattoria. Rybak will work closely with the director of food and beverage to maintain operation standards and ensure guest satisfaction. Additionally, Rybak will supervise food and beverage staff, manage hotel outlets' financial objectives, and contribute to marketing initiatives. Rybak comes equipped with a strong background in the hospitality industry with extensive experience in training and managing restaurant staff throughout Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Prior to joining the team at the Marriott Hartford Downtown, Rybak served as general manager of Fred & Steve's Steakhouse located at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I., where he designed the staff training program, developed and maintained the restaurant's menu and extensive wine list, and oversaw marketing efforts. Rybak also served as general manager at The Old Lyme Inn in Old Lyme, Conn.; and spent five years as the showroom manager at Foxwoods Casino in Uncasville, Conn.
