Cherokee Casino Selects Newmarket Solutions

Benefits of implementation include tremendous time savings and cost savings

. January 07, 2009

PORTSMOUTH, NH, January 8, 2009 - Newmarket International, Inc., the leader in sales and catering solutions for the hospitality industry, today announced that the Cherokee Casino Resort, a premier gaming destination in Oklahoma, implemented several of Newmarket's sales and catering solutions. In addition to the Cherokee Casino Resort, Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs and the Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs, all properties operated by Cherokee Nation Enterprises, will also soon utilize the software applications. Newmarket's solutions are expected to improve the properties' sales and catering processes in order to book more business and provide the best customer service.

"The decision to go with Newmarket was an easy one," stated David Stewart, CEO, Cherokee Nation Enterprises. "Several members of our staff were already familiar with Newmarket's technology and its reputation for great customer support."

Cherokee Casino Resort has several of Newmarket's solutions and will be able to manage the group business cycle from RFP through event execution and analysis. At the core is Delphi, Newmarket's flagship sales and catering application, augmented with Newmarket(R) Diagrams, a room diagramming software, eProposalTM, a tool for creating dynamic multi-media proposals and MeetingBrokersm, an innovative web-based lead management solution. The other two properties have Delphi and Diagrams. Time savings and cost savings are just two of the benefits Cherokee Casino Resort and its sister properties will realize from implementing Newmarket's technology.

"The reporting capabilities are amazing. With Delphi, at just a click of a button, we're now able to view group pace and productivity, pull catering and event reports, set marketing strategies and analyze our sales efforts," added Stacy McKee-Redden, Director of Sales for the property. For McKee-Redden and her staff at Cherokee Casino Resort, reporting on sales' contribution to the property is imperative. With the ability to view historical information, the property will be able to better plan rate strategies to avoid low occupancy. By knowing how to focus its sales efforts the company will benefit greatly.

Delphi's integration with Diagrams, MeetingBroker, eProposal and the resort's Property Management System (PMS) will also bring great time savings. Sales and catering professionals can work from within one application, Delphi, to create events, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and room diagrams. The can also manage their leads and quickly respond to inquiries with stunning proposals from the Delphi application.

"In a down economy, it's more important than ever to ensure your sales strategies are focused on filling need periods and attracting new business. By giving our customers the tools to report on their business and save enormous amounts of time, we are providing them with the ability to compete and thrive in today's market," said Sean O'Neill, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Newmarket International, Inc.
