Vanessa Blasco Promoted at Hotel Monaco
FEBRUARY 10, 2009 - Kimpton's Hotel Monaco Chicago, 225 N. Wabash, has promoted Vanessa Blasco, 27, of Chicago, to assistant front office manager, where she will assist in the oversight of all front office operations and staffing at the 192-room boutique hotel.
Blasco joined the Hotel Monaco in September 2007 as a manager on duty, supervising staffing of the front desk as well as invoicing and procurement for the front office department. Quickly establishing herself as a leader, Blasco successfully implemented team-building activities to enhance staff communication and collaboration.
Prior to joining Kimpton, Blasco worked as front desk manager at Chicago's Hotel James preceded by positions at hotels in Mexico and the Netherlands. Blasco holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from NHTV University in Breda, Holland.
