Go Cuckoo for Cocoa at 4th Annual Chocolate March
Historic Inns of Rockland will roll out the cocoa carpet to kick off National Chocolate Week, March
ROCKLAND, ME, FEBRUARY 27, 2009 - The Historic Inns will roll out the cocoa carpet on March 14 at the 4th Annual Chocolate March to kick off National Chocolate Week. The one-day event will combine tours of the Historic Inns of Rockland along with chocolate breakfast item tastings, recipes and plenty of choco-fun from over twenty restaurants and businesses in Rockland. Look forward to a schedule of cocoa comfort including an international chocolate tasting, chocolate candies, truffles and bark at Amalfi on the Water, chocolate "Fun-do" at In Good Company, chocolate ganache at Lily Bistro, "Chocolate-tinis" at the Boathouse Restaurant, Pastry Garden's chocolate with a wee bit of the Irish, Willy Wonka's chocolate reuben at Caf'e Miranda, chocolate skin tonics at The Skin Klinic, a chocolate and wine pairing at The Wine Seller and much more. There will even be the opportunity to partake in a hot chocolate massage at Synergy (not included in ticket price). All Aboard Trolley will be on hand throughout the day to deliver choco-meisters to scheduled events running the complimentary "chocolate express". Best of all, partial proceeds from the event will benefit the Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry and Fuel Assistance program.

Over twenty businesses will participate in the Chocolate March as Rockland goes cuckoo for cocoa on March 14, with demonstrations starting at 10:00am and continuing until 5:30pm. Tickets for the one-day event are $20.00 per person. Many of the participating restaurants will offer a free chocolate dessert with the purchase of a lunch or dinner entr'ee with your Chocolate March ticket. Refer to the complete schedule at the end of this release for times each of the following demonstrations are scheduled.
