Benchmark Names Francisco "Paco" Aceves Exec Chef

HOUSTON, TX, March 24, 2009 - Benchmark Hospitality International has announced the appointment Francisco "Paco" Aceves as executive chef for Stonewall Resort, located near Weston, West Virginia. Chris Steffich, director of food & beverage, made the announcement.
"Chef Aceves brings a world of culinary experience to Stonewall Resort," said Mr. Steffich. "He has worked in prestigious resort, restaurant and country club venues across the country and trained under two of the world's most respected Certified Master Chefs. We look to him to continue our legacy as the region's premier culinary and resort destination."
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Chef Francisco Aceves previously held the title of executive chef for one of West Virginia's most popular restaurants, The Bridge Road Bistro in Charleston. Prior to this appointment he served as banquet chef for the Four Diamond-rated La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa in Santa Fe, New Mexico, gaining experience in southwestern cuisine.
Earlier in his career, Chef Aceves was employed as sous chef for The Houston Country Club in Houston, Texas, where he trained under Certified Master Chef Fritz Gitschner. During his tenure there, Chef Aceves was chosen by Gitschner to participate as part of the United States culinary team at the Bocuse d'Or in Lyon, France, one of the world's most distinguished culinary competitions.
At the launch of his career, Francisco Aceves apprenticed at Handke's Cuisine in Columbus, Ohio, where he trained under Certified Master Chef Hartmut Handke.
Chef Aceves graduated from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He is relocating to the Buckhannon, West Virginia area with his family.
