TVtrip.com Helping Hotels Get Their Video
New Video Player and Services Makes Video Affordable for All Hotels
MARCH 26, 2009 - TVtrip.com, the travel website where travelers get to check out their hotel on video before they book it, announced today it will offer all hotels, including chains, a new service to integrate their video on the hotel's Web site.
TVtrip is now the largest hotel video guide with more than 3,000 filmed hotels and 10,000 videos in 170 cities worldwide. The site allows visitors to view hotels through unbiased videos, displaying all the hotel's facilities including room categories and exteriors, so travelers can find the best places to stay.
Making it easy for hotels to have video
'With our vast network of professional cameramen and streamlined internal editing process, we now can make it much more affordable for hotels to have rich media content on their site,' said TVtrip.com CEO Marc Ruff. 'Having tested video on several sites, we now know that video materially impacts conversion.'
TVtrip is now offering hotels the possibility to host and serve their videos through a new easy, embeddable video player. The player is available in 25 languages, allowing hoteliers to address a worldwide demand.
Increase qualified traffic via hotel direct sales
Hotels that want to increase traffic coming to their site can now take part in TVtrip's preferred partners program. This allows hotels to obtain very qualified sales leads through TVtrip directly to the hotel's booking engine. In addition to improving conversion, hotels can also increase their exposure to new customers coming from the US, Europe and Asia.
At one-and-a-half years old, TVtrip.com is the largest database of professionally filmed hotel videos in the world, with over 3000 hotels filmed in over 160 destinations. TVtrip is now available in 25 languages with sites recently been launched in Japan (www.tvtrip.jp), Korea (www.tvtrip.co.kr) and China (www.triptv.cn). The site is visited by close to 900,000 travelers per month. As a major player in internet travel resources, TVtrip.com was recently awarded a second round of financing for $9 million by Balterton Capital, Partech International and AGF.
