HITEC Roundtables Offer Candid Discussion Among Peers
APRIL 7, 2009 - Broadening the education and networking opportunities, the HITEC Advisory Council is adding a series of Roundtable discussions to the 2009 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC(R)) schedule.
The roundtables, held Monday, June 22 from 2 - 3:30 p.m., are an open forum where attendees can ask experts specific questions or share their knowledge on various hospitality technology topics as they network at each table. HITEC 2009, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)), is June 22-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.
'There are a lot of changes in the global business climate right now, so it is important for hospitality professionals to stay abreast of the current trends and issues,' said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. 'The interactive nature of the roundtables offers a different approach to learning, giving attendees the opportunity to have a dialogue and gain insight into a subject beyond the typical panel of the education sessions.'
At each roundtable, attendees can find solutions, support various efforts in the industry and hear what others are experiencing in specific areas of interest. Topics at the roundtables include: PCI - Best Practice, IP Telephony, Green, Twitter/Web 2.0, Technology for IT Asset Manager, Convergence, Mobility, Career Opportunities and Corporate and Back Office Accounting Software for Small and Medium Enterprises. Following the conference, the key points from each roundtable discussion will be posted on HITEC.org.
There will also be three tables with open topics. HFTP is giving attendees a chance to provide suggestions as to topics they would like to discuss at these open tables. To make suggestions, please e-mail the HFTP Meeting & Special Events Department at education@hftp.org.
Registration and the full conference schedule are available online at HITEC.org. For more information, contact the HFTP Meetings & Special Events Department at education@hftp.org, +1 (512) 249-5333 or (800) 646-4387.
