The Hawaii Grand Hotel & Resort in Cyprus to Announce Plans for New Wellness Center and Highlight Aw
LONDON, UK, November 1, 2005. Representatives from the luxurious five star Hawaii Grand Hotel & Resort, located in the exclusive area of Amathus on Cyprus' southern coast, will be announcing details of a new Wellness Centre at World Travel Market.
The hotel is one of four short listed for Europe's Leading Conference Hotel and Europe's Leading Family Resort in the 12th Annual World Travel Awards and hopes to announce it has won at least one of these at the show.
Visitors to the hotel's booth on the Cyprus Tourist Office Stand (EM920) will also be offered the chance to win a five night stay at the hotel for two. Demetris Tsangaras, the hotel manager, who will be attending the show with director Haris Theocharous, comments: "More and more of our guests are seeking relaxation and rejuvenation in the form of health and beauty treatments and for this reason we have decided to build a "Wellness Centre" featuring 12 treatment rooms and three hammans.
"We are delighted to have been short listed for the prestigious WTA awards particularly as these are an endorsement of the hotel's achievements and services by fellow travel professionals."
The Hawaii Grand Hotel & Resort offers 255 spacious rooms including two deluxe Executive Suites with window Jacuzzis. Most rooms have panoramic views of the sea. There are seven dining options. The most formal of these is the Salaminia restaurant offering an A La Carte and Table D'Hote dinner menu featuring four complimentary cuisines - Italian, Asian, French and Greek. While the more relaxed Anthea restaurant provides sumptuous hot and cold buffets as well as an A La Carte menu and the Aloha Taverna offers poolside snacks, a rich salad bar and grills. Fish lovers will enjoy Kohili the outdoor fish restaurant. The resort also features three bars: the outdoor Aloha Bar, the Ethnic Lounge and Bar and the elegantly designed Tycoons Bar which serves a selection of light dishes.
New for 2005 are the Kyoshi Teppan Yaki restaurant serving authentic Asian cuisine and "theatrical style cooking" at the tables and the Kyoshi Sushi bar providing classic sushi dishes.
Facilities at the Hawaii include a free form outdoor fresh water pool and an indoor pool, fully equipped gym, saunas and steam baths. A wide range of massage, facials and body treatments are also available as well as a hair and beauty salon. The hotel has an "Astrocourt" surface tennis court and a competition standard squash court. A wide variety of watersports such as parasailing, jetski and speed boat hire, windsurfing, kayaking and even scuba diving are available from the resort's beach.
Other amenities include a shopping arcade, extensive conference rooms and an open air cinema showing the latest movies every Monday and Tuesday evening. There is also a Children's Club which is open year round and provides a choice of activities every day for kids aged 3-12. In addition, the resort has a children's play area and pool, family and interconnecting bedrooms and can arrange babysitting services.
