British Virgin Islands Launches Major Initiatives At World Travel Market 2005
LONDON, UK, November 1, 2005. The British Virgin Islands Tourist Office is launching several new initiatives for consumers and the travel trade at this year's World Travel Market:
New website and brand launch
The BVI Tourist Board will reveal its new branding and website with a UK portal dedicated to visitors from the UK. The initiative is part of a global review of the BVI's brand image and web presence, aimed at making the destination more appealing and accessible to a wider audience. A new DVD featuring the many facets of the BVI will also be launched at WTM.
BVI launches branded taxis as part of new ad campaign
The British Virgin Islands will be launching 5 branded taxis in conjunction with the CTO at World Travel Market as part of its on-going advertising campaign to raise consumer awareness and promote its new website. The taxis will be the first media used to reveal the destination's new brand identity. Comments BVI Regional Marketing and PR Manager, Lynne Morris, "We have a strong campaign planned for 2006 which will target a wider audience as well as focusing on the unique attributes of the BVI. The taxi campaign will draw attention to our new website as well as offering industry partners the chance to participate with tactical messages through use of the tip-up seats. We will continue to work closely with tour operator partners throughout our media campaign, a strategy which has already proved extremely successful this year".
