More Than $5 Million in Group Business Booked at RGH Hospitality Marketing's Private Meetings Summit

. October 14, 2008

SANTA BARBARA, CA, November 1, 2005. RGH Hospitality Marketing notes that more than $5 million in meeting and incentive business has been booked since last week's Private Meetings Summit at the Greenbrier in White Sulfur Springs, WV. The three-day event united top meeting and incentive planners with key decision-makers from some of the world's best hotels and resorts, all of whom had the common goal of booking group business. RGH expects bookings will exceed $100 million as a direct result of its Summit.

The Summit's innovative one-on-one sessions create an exclusive business environment, ultimately leading to confirmed business between the attending planners and hoteliers. This unique format met the specific needs of all parties last week by giving 158 hand-picked planners direct access to 74 representatives from some of the world's most sought-after properties.

"Last week's Summit at the Greenbrier exceeded our goals for overall attendance and business generation," says RGH President Kelly Foy. "I'm confident hoteliers and meeting planners alike walked away not only achieving, but surpassing their goals."

Daniel J. Lough, a conference planner for the United Transportation Union, was highly impressed by the event. "I don't know of any other opportunity in the industry offering the ability to cover so much ground in such a short amount of time that efficiently," he says.

Joe DeMille, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla., attended as well. "In the first day alone," he says, "I met with planners who have more than $1.5 million in potential new business ideally suited for us."
