London Visitor Figures Bounce Back After Tough Few Months
LONDON, UK, November 8, 2005. London visitor figures are back up to almost the same level as last year despite difficult trading conditions over the last few months, according to The Big Bus Company. Half Term week (24 -28 October) has proved to be stronger than expected with many foreign and British holidaymakers enticed back to London by appealing offers and incentives from the Big Bus Company and its partners.
Mark Osborne, Commercial Manager, The Big Bus Company, comments, " We have had to be very creative in our approach to marketing over the past few months. We have worked hard with our partners such as VisitLondon, Madame Tussauds and other major London attractions to create exciting sightseeing packages and discounted offers to appeal to holidaymakers who are wavering in their decision to return to London."
Recent offers include the 48-hour ticket whereby passengers can purchase a standard ticket and enjoy London at a far more leisurely pace than within the normal 24-hour deadline. This offer is valid until March 2006. The Big Bus Bonus Card has also been upgraded to include discounts at more restaurants and cafes including Fire and Stone in Covent Garden, The International, St Martins Lane and the Langham Hotel. Other new attraction partners include the Britain at War Experience and the London Beatles Store.
Special offers over the last few months featured the Big Bus Company 'September Sights' package which included entry to Madame Tussauds and the London Eye for only lb40 per adult and lb22 for children - a saving of 20%.
" We are really pleased with the response to these deals and are delighted that people are venturing back to our capital and are enjoying the many hundreds of sights the city offers", said Osborne.
