. October 14, 2008

SPRINGFIELD, MA, November 7, 2005. Over the past few months, the employees at the Holiday Inn Springfield, owned by an affiliate of Philadelphia-based AMC Delancey Group, Inc., lent a helping hand to the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity to help build homes for local families in need. A "blitz-build" recently took place over a 10-day period, beginning Sept. 23, during which the Holiday Inn-Springfield staff helped to complete the pre-build work on the single-family home.

"The Holiday Inn-Springfield staff is honored to be a part of Habitat for Humanity," said Andy Taymans, general manager of the Springfield Holiday Inn. "Giving our time and efforts to those who are less fortunate is something we take very seriously at the Springfield Holiday Inn. We are proud to, hopefully, make a difference and are so pleased to support such a worthwhile organization as Habitat for Humanity."

The Holiday Inn employees had participated on a weekly basis over the summer months. The Holiday Inn staff is currently exploring the opportunity to assist the charity in New Orleans and the surrounding areas.

Since its founding in 1976 by Millard and Linda Fuller, Habitat for Humanity International has built and rehabilitated more than 150,000 houses with families in need, becoming a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing. Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem -- decent housing for all. Today, Habitat for Humanity has built more than 175,000 houses, sheltering more than 900,000 people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide.
