MEXICO CITY, November 17, 2005. Grupo Presidente, Operator of Hotels & Restaurants, has created a program entitled "Please give them a Hand," designed to benefit and improve the quality of life for its more than 600 employees and their families affected by Hurricane Wilma in Cancun and Cozumel.

From December 1, 2005 through January 31, 2006, at time of hotel checkout at Presidente InterContinental Hotels & Resorts or presentation of the bill at any of Grupo Presidente's restaurants, guests will have the option of donating USD $1 or any amount of their choice to a general fund, which will be used for distributing necessary materials, such as clothing, food, household items, etc. to all affected employees and their families in Cancun and Cozumel.

All contributions will be matched 100% by Grupo Presidente.

Grupo Presidente has also asked other hotels in the Cancun and Cozumel area to do the same to increase the reach of the program and to help those tourism workers in the severely affected areas of the Yucatan Peninsula.

"We developed this program to assist our loyal, dedicated employees in Cancun and Cozumel that were deeply affected by Hurricane Wilma," said Mr. Gordon Viberg, Chief Executive Officer, Grupo Presidente. "I firmly believe that a rising tide lifts all ships, so we have asked other hotels and restaurants in unaffected areas of Mexico to join the 'Helping Hand' program," he added.

The program is available upon checkout at the Presidente InterContinental Hotels & Resorts in Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Ixtapa, Guadalajara, Monterrey and Merida, the company's newest hotel. Grupo Presidente also operates restaurants separate from its hotel properties, including Alsace de Paris in Mexico City and the newly-opened Alfredo di Roma in Cancun.
