Le Mas Candille Wins 2006 Relais & Chateaux Spa Trophy
FRANCE, November 18, 2005. Featuring the only Shiseido spa in Europe, the luxurious Le Mas Candille in Mougins on the Cote d'Azur, has won the Relais & Chateaux 2006 Spa Trophy.
Now in its third year, the Relais & Chateaux Spa Trophy acknowledges 'Truly Outstanding Spa Facilities and Beauty Centres'. Voted for by guests at the 453 Relais & Chateaux hotels worldwide, the award is given each year to two hotels. Organised in partnership with Laurent-Perrier champagne, the 2006 Spa Trophy was also awarded to the Hotel Belle Vue in Italy.
Anthony Torkington, General Manager at Le Mas Candille, received the award on 15 November 2005 at the Relais & Chateaux Annual Congress in Geneva. The trophy was presented by retiring International President of Relais & Chateaux, Regis Bulot.

Visitors to the spa at Le Mas Candille can indulge in a wide variety of Shiseido facials, massages, body wraps and beauty treatments, given in one of the spa's stylish treatment rooms. The hotel also offers a number of spa packages and a 'Pay As You Go' scheme where guests can pay by the Euro per minute of spa treatment.
The five star hotel, a converted 18th century farmhouse, also features a relaxation room, heated swimming pool, two Jacuzzis in a Japanese garden and an outdoor gym - all with views over the Grasse valley and pre-Alps. Spring 2005 also saw the addition of a sauna and outdoor hydrotherapy pool.
Le Mas Candille also features the Michelin star Restaurant Candille, which offers a range of Italian - Provencal and Mediterranean dishes.
