Conrad Brussels Launches Events Initiative
BRUSSELS, November 24, 2005. The Conrad Brussels is launching annual events and partnerships, which are already proving highly successful.
"Conrad Events", a new hotel division, has been created to respond to customer needs and to take the lead in ensuring optimum relations with local events organisers, the media, Brussels promotions institutions and local charities. First in the 2006 Conrad Events programme is Conrad on Ice. The Conrad Brussels, in association with events organisers and media partners, is staging an ice-skating rink in its courtyard which will host private parties and events until the end of January 2006. The hotel will provide all creative winter catering during business or weekend days. Within weeks of announcing this spectacular venue, bookings up to the end of December were complete with some key multinationals choosing Brussels for 'Conrad On Ice' as their destination to hold their reception rather than other competing European cities.
Throughout the winter, Conrad Weekends will allow guests VIP access to city events - from exhibitions to guided tours of the city and its Art Nouveau sights, all in the best possible luxury. The Conrad Brussels weekends are offered at ?175 per person per night (double occupancy), or ?250 per person per night (single occupancy). Prices include buffet breakfast, entrance tickets to the event, limousine transport to and from the event, taxes and service.
An extended partnership with luxury food and beverage providers has allowed the Conrad Brussels to create a unique Dom P'erignon Cellar. Its restaurant, Loui, is offering unique caviar and Dom P'erignon tastings throughout the season.
In April 2006, Il Gusto, the Italian Art of Living Show, will take place in the hotel courtyard, attracting numerous discerning visitors from Belgium and abroad. Organisers of this luxury show have been drawn to the Conrad Brussels by the comprehensive proposal and contacts offered by Conrad Events.
For the summer, a Conrad Music and Culture project will be announced in the first quarter of 2006, involving musical and cultural events in the surroundings of the hotel. The 2007 Conrad Events' programme will also be outlined at that time.
Ivan Hiel, Manager of the Conrad Brussels comments: "We have a prestigious hotel in the heart of the city. Given that we bring guests to Brussels, it is only fair to ask them what they would like to do in town. We have therefore created Conrad Events to respond to and anticipate their needs. This is a new dynamic and successful concept of hotel cross-marketing that fits in with our interpretation of service and luxury: the attention to individual customer ideas and lifestyle. This in turn allows us to work proactively with all events specialists, media partners and the local tourism authorities, who are also supporting our hotel."
