Laura Ruggieri Joins Monterey County Sales Staff
MONTEREY COUNTY, CA, December 12, 2005. The Monterey County Convention & Visitors Bureau (MCCVB) welcomes Laura Ruggieri as the organization's new Sales Manager. Ruggieri will lead corporate and group sales efforts in the Northern California and Central Valley markets, and will partner with local hotels on outreach, sales calls and trade shows.
With the MCCVB's ongoing focus on group and corporate sales, Director of Sales Kathryn Carlton says Ruggieri's past experience and proactive efforts will be invaluable. "Laura has solid sales skills and experience in a variety of markets," said Carlton. "That background, combined with her passion for this area, makes Laura the ideal person to bring in leads and secure group business for Monterey County."
Ruggieri looks forward to sharing Monterey County's unique facilities, accommodations and attractions with meeting planners, corporate groups and tour operators. A native of Monterey, Ruggieri has 11 years of local sales management experience. She has worked in the real estate and financial industries, and her hospitality background includes time with the Monterey Beach Resort and Carmel Mission Inn.
