Hilton Completes Daytona Transformation
DAYTONA, FL, January 25, 2006. The Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort has completed its $20 million refurbishment project. The grand re-opening debuts 742 guest rooms, suites and cabanas, seven restaurants and lounges, specialty shop, fitness centers and indoor/outdoor pools. Guests are welcomed by the lush landscaping creating a warm sense of arrival and maintaining the traditional Floridian style of the exterior.
Inside, guest room upgrades are both conservative and classy with a modern spin. The North and South Towers have been redecorated with new furniture, bedding, carpeting, wall coverings and bathroom fixtures.
Some rooms are furnished with dark wood, plush furniture and a mix of mellow gold, greens and reds, while others are endowed with the style of a typical Floridian summer home using distinct shades of blue, yellow and light green. Guests receive the standard Hilton amenities along with high-speed Internet access, WebTV and Sony Playstation games in every room.
With seven new restaurants and lounges, the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort presents an array of dining choices. Guests have the option of indoor or terrace dining at Doc Bales' Grill, the hotel's newest restaurant featuring continental and seafood specialties. Colorful cocktails and relaxation can be found poolside at The Pelican Bar or in the Clocktower Lounge where guests can enjoy upscale appetizers overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and Daytona's Historic Clocktower. Guests can enjoy delectable items and catch the latest scores on one of the new plasma TVs in Legends Sports Bar. Other options include the Seaside Food Pavilion and Waves Beach Bar for a more casual food selection.
The hotel is one of the four components of the $400 million vacation and entertainment district, Ocean Walk Village. Conveniently connected to the Ocean Walk Shoppes, guests can find a collection of retail shops, restaurants and entertainment centers just outside the hotel's doors.
