Starwood Continues Rapid Expansion in China
SHANGHAI, August 2, 2005. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide continues its expansion momentum in China with the signing of two new hotels that will fly the Four Points by Sheraton flag - the 340-room Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong scheduled to open in mid-2006, and the 340-room Four Points by Sheraton Changshu set to open in 2007. Shanghai You You International Plaza Company Limited owns the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong and Changshu Yukun Real Estate Investment Company Limited owns the Four Points by Sheraton Changshu. Starwood will manage both properties.
Recognizing the great potential China offers to both the inbound and outbound travelers, Starwood Hotels & Resorts has grown its distribution in China aggressively in the past 24 months. The hotel giant now operates 19 hotels in China, with another 17 under construction, and is the largest international upscale hotel operator in China.

Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong
The Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong will be located adjacent to the Sheraton Shanghai Hotel & Residences (currently under development and is expected to open in mid-2008) in the Pudong district of Shanghai. The hotel will be situated next to the new Shanghai World Exposition site, venue of Shanghai World Expo 2010, as well as the new Shanghai Exhibition and Cultural Center. The Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Pudong offers guests easy access to the city's central business district and tourist attractions on both sides of the Huangpu River. The hotel boasts 11,800 square feet of meeting space, three food and beverage outlets and a health club.
Four Points by Sheraton Changshu
The Four Points by Sheraton Changshu will be located within a mixed-use development consisting of the hotel in one tower, and retail and residential apartments in the other two towers,. The hotel will be situated near the city's center and in close proximity to government buildings, banks, residential areas and manufacturing plants. The Four Points by Sheraton Changshu will feature 11,900 square feet of meeting space, three dining outlets, a health club and spa, an indoor swimming pool and a business center.
