TNT Travel Show: London's Biggest Free Travel Expo
LONDON, UK, February 18, 2006. Searching for inspirational travel ideas? Want to win a year's worth of free travel? Then visit the TNT Travel Show on 18 March 2006 , where you will find all the ideas and incentive you need to give this year's travel plans a boost, all for free.
Taking place at the New Connaught Rooms, London , the show will host over 60 exhibitors including tour operators, overland operators, accommodation providers, tourist boards and travel agencies, many of whom will be offering exclusive money saving offers on the day.
One lucky visitor to the show will walk away with the main prize of a year's worth of travel. This fantastic package takes in many major festivals throughout the year including Pamplona for the Running of the Bulls, Bunyol for La Tomatina, Munich for Oktoberfest, Dublin for St Patricks Day, Edinburgh for Hogmanay, Turkey for ANZAC Day and Transylvania for Halloween. Throughout the day, student specialists STA Travel will also be giving away a flight an hour to various destinations.
Run by TNT Magazine, the show will also offer one-to-one travel advice and the opportunity to learn from the experts in a series of free travel talks. Calling upon the experience he gained from travelling overland from London to his home in Sydney, travel writer Peter Moore, author of The Wrong Way Home, will speak on one of the world's great journeys - the overland trail to Australia.
Also talking at the event will be Alastair Humphreys who cycled 50,000 miles around the world, across 50 countries in five continents in 5 years to raise money for charity, and Leon Logothetis, who travelled across the UK and US on just $5 a day.
These talks will be complemented by a comprehensive programme of seminars on a range of topics including travel writing and photography, taking a career break and volunteer and charity projects. Given by leading specialists in the travel industry, all of the talks are free and promise to provide inspiration, information and practical advice.
Exhibitors already confirmed for 2006 include destinations specialists such as Absolute Africa, Fez Travel and Trek America as well as tour operators for the independently minded such as Contiki, Guerba and Kumuka. Members of UK tourism information services including the Wales Tourist Board and Visit Britain will provide visitors with fresh ideas for travelling around the UK, whilst companies such as Overseas Working Holidays will be on hand to give advice on working your way around the globe. There will also be free internet access all day, caf'e and a bar.
The location of the TNT Travel Show in the heart of London, close to Covent Garden, makes it easily accessible by tube, foot or car. The show is taking place between 9.30am-7:00pm
