Three Hilton Brands Take Top Honors in Market Matrix Index
BEVERLY HILLS, CA, February 22, 2006. Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that three of its brands placed #1 in the Market Metrix Hospitality Index for the fourth quarter of 2005.
o Hilton Garden Inn, the fastest growing brand within the Hilton Family, ranked #1 in the upscale hotel category;
o Hilton Grand Vacations Club(R), representing high-quality vacation ownership resorts in select vacation destinations, took the #1 spot in the vacation clubs category; and
o Homewood Suites by Hilton(R), the national brand of upscale, all-suite residential-style hotels, placed #1 in the extended-stay hotel category.
The Market Metrix Hospitality Index is a quarterly report of customer satisfaction with hotel, airline and car rental companies based on 35,000 in-depth consumer interviews. This marks the eighth time that Homewood Suites by Hilton has received this prestigious accolade; a repeat honor for Hilton Garden Inn and the first top ranking in this survey for Hilton Grand Vacations Club - the first year Market Metrix added vacation clubs as a new category (in the first quarter of 2005).
