Al Fayed in UK Hotel Venture
LONDON, United Kingdom, March 2, 2006. Mohamed Al Fayed, owner of Harrods and the Paris Ritz is planning to build a hotel on an oil platform off the northeast coast of Scotland.
According to reports, Al Fayed has received a "definite commitment" from an oil company to provide the platform. The project is expected to cost $17.5 million (lb10 million).
