Resort is Set Against Picturesque Sandia Mountains in the Land of Enchantment
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, April 5, 2006. McCarthy has put the finishing touches on the Sandia Resort, a full-service hotel and conference facility for the Pueblo of Sandia located just north of Albuquerque. The new hotel is located adjacent to the existing Sandia Casino, also constructed by McCarthy in 2001.
"We're glad to be a part of this great facility which is already well-established as a destination and landmark - evidenced by the strong response it's already generated since it officially opened for business," said Bo Calbert, president of McCarthy's Southwest Region.
McCarthy began construction on the 460,000 square-foot facility in May 2004 and completed its work in November 2005. The resort opened for visitors in December 2005.
