The "Karibu Travel and Tourism Fair" is organized by the Tanzanian Association of Tour Operators (TATO) with the Tourism Confederation of Tanzania (TCT) and held for the benefit of the tourism industry in East Africa. The event is focused for those particularly in Tanzania within the industry to meet, update each other and exchange ideas.

Who is the TCT?

Who Will be There?

The organizers are inviting all companies and individuals who are involved in tourism in East Africa along with selected international travel trade journalists. Special safaris are being arranged for these journalists. In addition Tanzanian tour agents and operators will be encouraged to arrange "familiarization trips" for their agents around the event in order that they can attend the show.

Karibu's goals are to:

Displays the variety of products available in East Africa.

Allows overseas tour agents to meet and network with members of the East African tourism industry.

Bring new destinations, facilities and products to the attention of overseas tour agents.

Creates a single venue where the overseas tour agent can form new deals and partnerships in a short period of time.

Allow overseas tour agents to visit the national parks and properties.

Does this at affordable rates in order to support many of the smaller operators who cannot afford to travel to international trade events.
