London Bounces Back
Summer blooms attract the tourist bees back into London, according to Cheapflights.co.uk
LONDON, UK, APril 11, 2006. Figures released today by Cheapflights.co.uk, the UK's largest travel price comparison website, suggest that despite confidence in London dropping after the events of July 2005, there's plenty for the capital to be cheery about.
Summer in London traditionally sees the city bloom, attracting many overseas and British tourists, with events such as the Queen's Coronation Day and Official Birthday in June and outdoor concerts and festivals taking place in London's parks throughout the season. People travelling to London to experience the excitement of the World Cup support in the capital also means that London has plenty to look forward to this Summer.
David Soskin, CEO of Cheapflights.co.uk, says: "Searches on flights to London did see a dip after July 2005, but London always remains in the top ten on our flight searches. This is set to continue in the short term with the summer season imminent but also in the long term with the Olympics in 2012."
