Scottsdale Hampton to Convert to Indigo
SCOTTSDALE, AZ, May 04, 2006. The new owner of the Hampton Inn Scottsdale-Oldtown plans to convert the 126-room property to InterContinental Hotel Group's Hotel Indigo flag.
Locally based Everest Hotels II, LLC, acquired the property from Equity Inns Partnership, LP, which is based in Germantown, PA. The purchase price was $12.2 million.
IHG has positioned Hotel Indigo at the high end of the select-service category. Hampton is typically positioned at the low end of the market. Everest did not comment on the extent of the renovations that would be required to complete the conversion.
