Key West Inn Sees 32% Increase in Reservation Revenue
JUNE 12, 2009 - Key West Inns, a limited-service hotel chain, announces dramatically higher reservation revenues for 2009. Key West Inns, Inc. reports an increase in total reservations, room nights, and reservation revenues. One of the reasons for this is the brands push towards aggressive internet marketing.
Comparing May 2009 against May 2008, the Key West Inn chain saw a 32% increase in reservations. Additionally, reservation room nights increased by 27% while chain revenue increased by 17%. Key West Inn President Neal Jackson sees several reasons for the upswing. "Over the last year, we gave heavy focus on internet marketing. Our Brand Manager, Rick Patel worked closely with many Key West Inns to monitor and enhance each hotel's internet presence." Key West Inn hotels now have custom "YouTube" videos, and enhanced listings on such sites as Google Local, Travel Planner, and Trip Advisor. Mr. Jackson realizes that most hotel owners or managers don't have the time or the understanding for internet marketing. In those cases, Mr. Jackson adds, "We will gladly do that for them."
Fairhope, Alabama Key West Inn franchisee, Sam Patel is grateful for the extra room nights. Mr. Patel states, "We are seeing an extra 40 room nights a month from internet program." Mr. Patel worked closely with the Key West Inn Brand Manager to make sure his hotel stood out from the competition. "I appreciate Key West Inns helping me to improve my hotel's internet visibility."
The Key West Inn chain now has twenty locations in Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida. The chain was started by Cory Jackson Sr. and now is led by his son's Neal and Cory Jackson Jr.. The Key West Inn chain will focus on expansion efforts in Southeastern states from North Carolina to Texas.
