Club La Costa Renews RCI Affiliation Agreement
JULY 31, 2009 - Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels today announced the renewal of its affiliation agreement with RCI, the global leader in vacation exchange, for its Club La Costa Vacation Club. With resorts in Spain, Tenerife, Austria and the UK, Club La Costa is renowned for the luxurious appointment of its accommodations, resort facilities and high levels of service to guests.
Club La Costa started working with RCI in 1986 through the affiliation of its Spanish resorts at Benal Beach and Marina del Sol. The two companies have enjoyed a strong relationship since that time, with the majority of Club La Costa shared-ownership developments - including its recently launched Club La Costa Yacht Club and Club La Costa Vacation Club, an enhanced points-based product launched in 1998 - also affiliated with RCI.
"After years of experience adding major value to our product with external exchanges, RCI has been recognised as one of Club La Costa's selected partners for exchange products and services," said Roy Peires, chairman and founder of Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels. "Ever since our first affiliation in 1986, many of our members have enjoyed external exchanges through RCI."
"Providing a varied and expansive portfolio of products and services to meet increasing customer expectations is important in raising the levels of member satisfaction, and CLC Vacation Club makes every effort to optimise RCI's expertise in these areas," Peires added. "There is no doubt that, in the future, with the ongoing development of Club La Costa, we will aim to develop this successful partnership with the addition of new resorts and products. We will shortly be launching two new resorts - a second development in Turkey and a mixed-use hotel in Spain."
Added Jonathan Back, managing director of the Europe, Middle East, Africa and India region for Group RCI, the parent company of RCI: "We are honoured that Club La Costa has chosen RCI as its exchange provider of choice for the thousands of Club La Costa Vacation Club members across the world. Club La Costa is not only one of the longest established vacation-ownership companies in Europe, it's one of the industry's greatest innovators, with landmark projects including the Club La Costa Yacht Club."
"We're looking forward to expanding our relationship to cover more products and services, creating more opportunities and value for both our companies and all our members in the years to come," Back continued.
