Gerard Hayes Joins Horseshoe Bay Resort as Assistant GM and Director of Food & Beverage
Horseshoe Bay, TX - October 15, 2010 - Horseshoe Bay Resort is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerard Hayes as assistant general manager and director of food & beverage. A member of the executive team, he will be responsible for overseeing the on-site Marriott hotel, as well as operations of the resort's seven dining facilities, catering for meetings and special events, and in-room dining.

Gerard joins Horseshoe Bay Resort from The AT&T Hotel and Conference Center at the University of Texas, Austin, where he was director of food & beverage. He previously held roles at The Waldorf=Astoria Hotel and The Carlyle Hotel in New York City; Cipriani in New York City and Los Angeles; and Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, TX.
He began his hospitality career in Europe at the Shannon Oaks Hotel and Country Club in Galway, Ireland, with subsequent positions at the Victoria Jungfrau Hotel in Interlaken, Switzerland and the Carrigaline Court Hotel in Cork, Ireland.
Gerard received his bachelor's degree in hotel management and business studies from Shannon University of International Hotel Management in Ireland.
