Red Marlin Makes Mother's Day Memorable with Coastal Brunch Buffet
San Diego, CA - April 14, 2011 - Although your mom might say she wants nothing more than a card on Mother's Day, show her just how much you care by treating her to a brunch at Red Marlin on beautiful Mission Bay on Sunday, May 8.
The seasonal brunch menu, created by Chef de Cuisine Danny Bannister, will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is $55 per person and $26 for kids between the ages of 5-12. Children 4 and under are free. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 619-221-4868.
Traditional brunch favorites include: an Omelet Station; Mission Bay Eggs Benedict; Poached Farm Eggs; Canadian Bacon; Chive Hollandaise; Smoked Bacon; Sausage; and Yukon Gold Potato Hash.
Additionally, the restaurant will serve a variety of chilled seafood dishes including: Lemon Poached Shrimp; Shucked Oysters and Seared Ahi Tataki Soy with cocktail and horseradish sauces.
Salad options include: a Caesar Salad Station with petite shrimp, grilled chicken, marinated baby portobellos, romaine hearts, shaved parmesan, multi grain croutons, white anchovies and garlic dressing; Pasta Salad with roasted peppers, pesto, kalamata olives and artichoke hearts; and Caprese Salad with local basil and cracked black pepper.
A variety of hot main entrees will also be served such as Atlantic Salmon Wrapped in Phyllo and layered with goat cheese and spinach lemon dill sauce; and Sliced Pork Loin with peach salsa. A Roasted Tenderloin with petite Syrah reduction, baby heirloom potatoes, creamy horseradish and chive rolls will be carved to order.
And, Red Marlin will offer treats almost as sweet as mom including Tarts, Petite Fours, Cookies, Mini Pastries; and Angel Food and Pound Cakes with berries and vanilla whipped cream.
In addition to the adult buffet, kids will also be able to enjoy items from the children's buffet with menu items including Grilled Chicken Tenders, Hot Dogs, Broccoli Spears and Tater Tots.
