Oceanside, CA - October 12, 2011 - Though best known for its military roots and laid-back, surf culture, Oceanside, Calif. is quickly becoming a sought after Southern California coastal meetings destination with unique venues and accommodations ideally suited to groups. The opening of the newly constructed Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Oceanside on November 3 highlights the city's continued growth as a competitive destination in the small meetings market.

The hotel will have 64 double queen rooms, a feature typically in high demand by groups. The property's Endless Summer ballroom, which can accommodate up to 160 guests, is ideal for large group functions. The Blue Crush Boardroom with seating for 12 is suited to executive retreats or intimate break-out sessions. The hotel also offers a pre-function foyer and creative outdoor space including a fire pit for break outs and receptions.
Courtyard Oceanside guests stay connected with complimentary wireless Internet in guest rooms, meeting rooms, the lobby and outdoor courtyard. The lobby also features media pods and GoBoard, an interactive informational display that allows visitors to explore the local area and attractions. The hotel restaurant, The Bistro®, brews fresh Starbucks coffee in the morning with made-to-order fresh breakfast and serves dinner and specialty cocktails in the evening.
