Gaia Shasta Hotel Now Operated by Hostmark
December 9, 2011 - Hostmark Hospitality Group has been named as management company of Gaia Shasta Hotel and Spa, a LEED-certified eco-friendly resort property located near Mount Shasta in the Cascade Mountains of Northern California. Hostmark has been retained by the court-appointed trustee in bankruptcy based on the company's national reputation for successfully improving operations and restoring confidence in the hotels it manages for the benefit of their guests and associates.

Gaia takes its name from the Greek term for 'Mother Earth' and employs a progressive approach to environmental sustainability. The hotel utilizes tubular skylights to provide natural lighting, recycled materials for building elements from carpeting to bathroom tiles, and water-saving features throughout the property, even extending to the native, drought-resistant landscaping that beautifies the property's 9.8 acre site.
