Formosa Gardens to Renovate, Upgrade Flag to Clarion Suites
Kissimmee, FL, April 6, 2012 - The Comfort Suites Maingate Hotel will be upgrading to a Clarion Suites franchise in April and starting a $1.5 million renovation of the hotel.
Included in the renovation is a new restaurant, fitness center and business center. In addition, all hard goods in each of the hotel's 150-suites, including furniture and electronics, will be replaced and upgraded over the next three years to meet the additional standards of a Clarion Suites property.
"There is a need for a higher value property in the Maingate area," says George Chen, owner of the hotel, which is located in Formosa Gardens Village. "After the renovations are complete, we will be offering our guests a four-star experience at a rate that is highly competitive with hotels around Central Florida."
For instance, the current free breakfast area will be replaced with a full-service restaurant, offering a wider selection of hot breakfast items and service for dinner and late-night room service. In addition, the hotel will be increasing its staffing, adding 10 new positions.
The hotel has been a Comfort Suites since it opened in 1997.
