HFTP Announces Cisco as Patron Sponsor of GUESTROOM 20X
AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA - June 1, 2012 - Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) announced today that Cisco is the patron sponsor of GUESTROOM 20X. The futuristic guestroom features the hospitality industry's most innovative technologies, including Cisco Connected Hospitality solutions.
The exhibit debuts at the 2012 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®), the world's largest hospitality technology exposition and conference. HITEC 2012, produced by HFTP, is June 25 - 28 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Md. USA.
“As hotel guests increasingly rely on emerging technology to enhance their travel experience, GUESTROOM 20X provides a vision for the future of guestroom and hotel technology, transforming the way guests experience a hotel property. The time for hoteliers to start planning for tomorrow's hotel is now," said Antonio DiMilia, industry director of Hospitality & Travel at Cisco.
GUESTROOM 20X is a model guestroom featuring the latest and near-future technologies for the modern hotel room. HFTP produces a new version of the special exhibit every other year, after a worldwide, comprehensive search of existing, cutting-edge and future guestroom innovations.
Along with other new technologies, the 2012 version of GUESTROOM 20X will display Cisco Connected Hospitality's solutions. These solutions include mobile hospitality and travel applications that can run on any device, including Meridian by Spotlight Mobile, an indoor location-sensing system application enabled by Cisco's Mobility Services Engine and SuiteLinq, a digital media platform application accessed through Cisco's high-speed wireless connectivity portfolio.
“Over the years, GUESTROOM 20X has become an important reference for the future of guestroom technology. Some innovative products seen in previous versions of GUESTROOM 20X can sometimes be found in hotel rooms around the world,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. “It takes a lot of time and hard work to pull the model guestroom together and we appreciate Cisco's support in fostering the future of our industry.”
