Marriott's Global Pursuits Trade Show Moves To Central London For 2005

. October 14, 2008

UNITED KINGDOM, August 17, 2005. The ninth annual Marriott Global Pursuits trade show, once again sponsored by British Airways, is to take place on 6th and 7th September 2005 at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.

"Bringing the show to Central London will give even more of our customers a chance to meet representatives of over 350 Marriott-branded hotels from across the World. Customer registrations are already well up on this time last year, so we're expecting a record attendance this year. The move also means we have more space for more Marriott exhibitors, and an exciting programme of customer events including a fabulous evening at the Science Museum to round off the experience", said John Licence, Vice President Global Sales Europe.

The customer website - http://www.globalpursuits.com- has been further upgraded so that customers can register quickly on-line and receive immediate e-mail confirmation and a reminder closer to the show days. "The website has been improved to make it even easier for show visitors to review all the exhibitors in detail in advance, with links to every exhibitor's individual web site. Attendees can also opt either to pre-arrange timed appointments or decide on the day which stands to visit", said Trudi Wagner, Marriott's special events manager and show director.

Destinations featured at the show include the UK, US, Latin America, Eastern Europe, Europe, Asia and Middle East. New exhibitors for 2005 include Marriott hotels in Canada, Marriott's Brand Marketing team and Eventcom - a Marriott subsidiary that specialises in web-casting services. A number of new Courtyard by Marriott properties will also be present for the first time.

More than 800 visitors from 37 European markets plus the United States and Mexico will visit the show. British Airways have provided airline tickets, Visit London will host London familiarisation trips and the Science Museum is staging evening events on both days. Other sponsors include: Hertz, Sterling Travel, Euromic, M&IT magazine, Mushroom Event Services and Ibhan, who will be providing an internet caf'e at the show.
