Spire Hospitality Executive Ginny Morrison Awarded IHLA Ambassador of Hospitality
CHICAGO, IL. June 22, 2017 - Hosted each May, the Illinois Hotel & Lodging Association honors outstanding hospitality professionals who have made significant contributions to the hospitality industry in Illinois. Receiving the Ambassador of Hospitality Award in the 22nd Annual IHLA Hospitality Awards, Ginny Morrison, of Spire Hospitality was recognized for her dedication and tenure in the hospitality industry. Worth noting, Morrison was the only female recognized in the awards program this year, and shared remarks about her growth in the industry.
“The look and feel of the tourism industry has evolved greatly in recent years, and it is truly inspiring to see the diversity within hospitality management and leadership continue to grow,” said Morrison. “I've had much good fortune as I've worked my way to my leadership role with Spire Hospitality. I started, years ago, as a line cook, while I was in college and am thrilled to have developed so many skills throughout my career to enable me to serve in the Director of Sales & Marketing role for one of the top hospitality management companies in the country. What I love about the industry is how part-time jobs evolve into careers, and how my passion for tourism was seeded so early in my life, and grew each time I had an opportunity to progress and grow.”
