Spice Island, Grenada Targets Couples

. October 14, 2008

JANUARY 18, 2008. The upscale Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada blends the pleasures of romance with the delights and invigoration of a massage through "Lessons In Love," whereby couples learn how to massage one another.

"Romance and relaxation are a given at our luxurious property," said Sir Royston O. Hopkin, KCMG, owner and chairman of Spice Island Beach Resort. "Our 'Lessons in Love' offering heightens the spirit of closeness and romance for couples, whether they are newlyweds or celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary," he added.

As part of "Lessons In Love" offered at the resort's onsite Janissa's Spa, couples are taught the basics of massage by a trained therapist. Guests are instructed on the systematic stroking movements, circular and zig-zag motions, and kneading and pressing of soft body tissues that are required for a massage. Hands should be relaxed to flow continuously over the body in slow rhythmic strokes. At the end of the session, the couple will receive a certificate and an instruction list to take home as a reference for future massages.

"The 'Lessons In Love' massage is another memory from Spice that couples can bring home and relive over and over again," noted Hopkin.
