Two Roads Hospitality and Finvarb Group to Re-Introduce Thompson Hotels to Miami With 2020 Opening of Thompson South Beach
International lifestyle company Two Roads Hospitality announces the development of its newest property in Miami Beach, Florida, as part of the Thompson Hotels
brand. The project marks the return of Thompson Hotels to the desired
destination, and will be one of the few new-build properties in the core
of the South Beach district.
Projected to open in 2020, Thompson South Beach will be
conceptualized by famed French architect Rudy Ricciotti, who will design
the building in harmony with the surrounding landscape of SoundScape
Park featuring a dynamic, undulating exterior. Developed and owned by
Miami-based Finvarb Group, the hotel will include 150 generously-sized
guestrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, and a rooftop pool, restaurant
and bar with breathtaking views of the surrounding city, the New World
Symphony's renowned WALLCAST®, and the Atlantic Ocean. The ground-level
and rooftop restaurants and bars will appeal to locals and guests
alike, featuring seasonally-inspired plates and robust cocktail
programs. The property will also boast elevated meeting space for
intimate social functions and corporate meetings in the heart of the
city.
“Positioned within South Beach's flourishing cultural epicenter overlooking the urban oasis of SoundScape Park, Thompson Hotels is primed for reintroduction into the Miami market,” said Jamie Sabatier, CEO of Two Roads Hospitality. “We are thrilled to bring the brand back to such a dynamic destination and look forward to welcoming our guests to the area's thriving arts attractions just outside our doors.”
Thompson South Beach will occupy a coveted, central location on the southeast corner of 17th Street and Washington Avenue, adjacent to the Frank Gehry-designed New World Center and newly renovated and expanded Miami Beach Convention Center, and will be in walking distance to the famed Fillmore Miami Beach at The Jackie Gleason Theater music venue and Lincoln Road.
“We're excited to pair the world-class Thompson Hotels brand, which aligns so well with the vibrancy of South Beach, with the iconic design of the building and the central location of the site,” said Ronny Finvarb, principal of Finvarb Group. “The combination of those factors, plus the food and beverage programming we're considering, will add to the dynamism and character of this great city,” said Finvarb.
