Marriott Tarrytown to Add New Ballroom
DECEMBER 13, 2007.The Westchester Marriott Tarrytown hotel is adding a new ballroom to its existing banquet and meeting space, slated for completion by spring 2008. The hotel, on White Plains Road in Tarrytown, currently has 22,000 square feet of meeting and catering space. The new Westchester Ballroom, featuring 14-foot ceilings, will add 2,970 square feet of new space to the hotel property.

The Westchester Ballroom will be divisible into two different sections and will accommodate 180 guests for banquets, or up to 350 guests in theater-style seating. The ballroom design complements the hotel's use of vibrant colors, accented by plush blue carpeting and elegant chandeliers. The addition of the New Westchester Ballroom will increase the hotel's total meeting and banquet space to almost 25,000 square feet.
The 444-room Westchester Marriott Tarrytown is managed by Marriott International and is owned by Northview Hotel Group. The hotel's owners announced the plans for the new ballroom, following a recent overall $10 million renovation of the hotel's guest rooms, including Marriott's Revive(R) bedding package, ergonomically-designed work desks and chairs, and Marriott's "Wired for Business" in-room technology offerings.
Plans for the new ballroom were made in response to the growing catering and meetings market in the Westchester area, a growing destination for social and business events. Northview Hotel Group's plans also include future renovations to the hotel's main lobby, to create a more distinct sense of arrival, and a comfortable environment for guests to relax, dine and do business.
