Marriot Abu Dhabi Nears Completion

DECEMBER 12, 2007. Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH) have signed an agreement with Al Habtoor Engineering Enterprises (HEE) to construct the second phase and final touches of JW Marriot Abu Dhabi Resort and Spa. According to the agreement, HEE will be responsible for the second phase of the construction of the resort, which includes designing of the suites, chalets, rooms, indoor and outdoor corridors and car parks. The company will also handle the finishing touches for the hotel, which is expected to start operations by the end of 2009. The first JW Marriott brand in the UAE's capital is being developed on the water canal between the Two Bridges, opposite the Grand Mosque.

Commenting on the deal, his Excellency Khalifa Nasser Bin Huwaileel Al Mansoori, Chairman of ADNH, said: "We chose Al Habtoor Engineering ENtreprise to complete the construction work of JW Marriott resort based on their expertise and reputation both in the UAE and the Gulf region. JW Marriott resort is slated to be one of the major landmarks in Abu Dhabi for business and tourism."
