Colorado's Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Names Two New Executive Team Members

Tina Petersen Now Serving as Director of Human Resources; Chris Schmidt Has Been Promoted to Director of Front Office

The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa Avon, Vail Valley has hired Tina Petersen to serve as Director of Human Resources and promoted Chris Schmidt to be Director of Front Office.

A skilled human resources professional with more than 20 years of experience, Petersen most recently served as a Senior Human Resource Manager at Vacasa. Other previous experience includes leadership positions at Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Howard Head Sports Medicine, The Home Depot and Target. She is certified by the Society for Human Resource Management & HRCI. A graduate of West Texas A&M University, Petersen is a previous board member of the High Country Human Resources Association and the Vail Valley Lacrosse Club.

Schmidt has been a Westin Riverfront team member for the past four years, starting at the Front Desk and moving up to serve as a Guest Service Manager. He previously worked at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Flagstaff and The Lodge & Spa at Cordillera. A graduate of the International Hotel & Restaurant Managementprogram at Northern Arizona University's W.A. Franke College of Business, Schmidt volunteers with the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
