Nita Lake Lodge Appoints Manager of Employee Experience

. October 14, 2008

DECEMBER 10, 2007. The new Nita Lake Lodge is pleased to announce the appointment of Liza Walli as Manager of Employee Experience. Walli will be integral in the implementation of Boutique Hotels & Resorts' human resources strategy at Whistler's most unique property, the new Nita Lake Lodge.

Walli brings a wealth of hands-on experience to her position including employee special events management, recognition program design, coaching, leadership development, competency-based recruiting and ongoing process improvement. Prior to joining Nita Lake Lodge, Walli was Employee Experience Manager for Intrawest Corporation's Whistler Blackcomb where among other things she oversaw a ten-person team to fill 3800 roles in ten diverse operating divisions.

"Liza is one of a kind. She is results oriented, thoughtful and creative beyond belief in her approach to Employee Experience," says Christine McLeod, Director of Culture and People Development for Boutique Hotels & Resorts or British Columbia.

One of Walli's innovative initiatives will be implementing a "speed dating"-format recruiting fair where applicants have the opportunity to "interview" members of the Nita Lake senior team. If they decide this is a team they would like to work for, they sign up for an interview with the department of their choice.

Set to open in December 2007, the 77-suite Nita Lake Lodge will be Whistler's finest and most exclusive boutique hotel. Nestled on the shores of Nita Lake steps away from Whistler's Creekside, the luxurious Nita Lake Lodge will reflect the highest level of style, comfort, service and pure indulgence.
