HFTP Reaches 4,700 Members in 50 Countries
AUSTIN, TX, November 28, 2007. Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)) ended the association's fiscal year on October 31 with over 4,700 registered members in 50+ countries. This is the highest HFTP membership statistic recorded. HFTP had over 950 new members, a 24 percent increase in new members for 2007, compared to 2006. International membership also saw a major increase with a 234 percent increase in new members from outside the US.
"The growth in international membership, as well as membership in general, is very gratifying," said Anna McFarland, CPA, CFE, CHAE, CHTP, HFTP President and senior director of finance at Accor North America - Business and Leisure Hotels. "A goal of the HFTP board is to expand its presence internationally. To follow-through, the association has enacted numerous programs that would provide substantial benefits, regardless of a professional's locale. Implementation of expanded online resources, as well as adding regional professional development seminars offer our members a variety of ways to meet career goals. The membership growth demonstrates that these efforts are a move in the right direction."
