Prominence Hospitality Group Adds Courtyard by Marriott Albion to Portfolio
Prominence Hospitality Group, an emergent real estate investment, development and hotel management company based in Chicago, expands its portfolio adding the Courtyard Albion, poised on Main Street in the growing Michigan collegiate community. Owned by Albion College, the hotel is a core anchor in the redevelopment of the downtown area of Albion. The Courtyard Albion is the second Michigan hotel and fourth Marriott to join the Prominence portfolio, further expanding the company's foothold with the brand and in the Midwestern region.
"The opening of the Marriott in downtown Albion in 2018 was a major catalyst in the resurgence we are now seeing in the area," said Joe Calvaruso, Albion College Interim President. "The selection of Prominence to manage the hotel was a natural fit for this property, with their growth strategies closely aligned with those of the Albion community. Prominence is hyper-focused on creating a memorable guest experience while building asset value and creating and empowering strong leadership at the property. We look forward to the industry leadership they will bring to the property and for a successful partnership."
The 75-key Courtyard by Marriott of Albion is located in the heart of Downtown Albion, just minutes away from Albion College. The area boasts a variety of new bars and restaurants, the newly renovated historic Bohm Theatre and a children's museum, in addition to a nearby proximity to the industrial district of the city, providing an ideal stay for business and leisure travelers alike.
"The resurgence of downtown Albion is inspiring and exciting," says Dhaval Brahmbhatt, principal, Prominence Hospitality Group. "The opportunity to be a part of the invigoration of Albion only adds to our own company's growth trajectory as we expand within the Midwest region."
