NEWPORT NEWS, VA, August 29, 2005. Zentox's Photox TM has received certification by BuildingGreen and is now listed in GreenSpec(R), a directory of green products. This certification indicates that Photox qualifies to earn LEEDTM credits.
Photox is a stand-alone advanced air purification system for the reduction of indoor airborne microbiological and volatile organic compound (VOC) contaminants. Based on photocatalytic oxidation technology (PCO), Photox is designed to remove noxious odors, toxic vapors and infectious organisms from the indoor environment. It effectively removes bacteria, virus and mold spores; urine and fecal odors; carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide; cooking odors and musty air; and cleaning solvents, paint odors and formaldehyde.
It is ideally suited for air purification in food processing plants, hotels, hospitals, schools, office buildings, medical offices, laboratories, poultry grow-out houses/hatcheries, restaurants and nursing homes.
Safe to use, Photox does not emit any harmful products or ozone. Destruction of contaminants occurs completely inside the unit. Easy to operate and maintain, the system simply requires annual replacement of lamps and catalytic reaction modules. Photox 500 is for rooms up to 40' x 50', moving up to 500 cfm with a 180W draw. Photox 100 is for rooms up to 20' x 20', moving 50 to 100 cfm with a 25W draw.
GreenSpec is a product information service listing environmentally preferable building products. The directory is available to architects and engineers searching for products to attain LEED credits for their building designs.
