Ernest Thompson Appointed GM Residence Inn Danbury
DANBURY, CT, October 25, 2007. Waterford Hotel Group today announced the appointment of Ernest Thompson as general manager of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Danbury, CT . The property is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, Inc ., a national hotel management firm currently operating 26 properties.
As general manager, Thompson will oversee all operational, sales and administrative aspects of the hotel. He began his hospitality career as an accounting manager for the Marriott Executive Park in Charlotte, NC. Since then he has held positions in accounting, human resources, and operations for brands such as Four Points, Wyndham Gardens, Woodlawn Suites, SpringHill Suites, and Courtyard. Thompson most recently served as general manager at the Courtyard by Marriott in Kingston, NY.

Thompson is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University in North Carolina, where he earned a BA in Business Information Systems. He currently resides in Pleasant Valley, NY.
